The village of Dražkovce is located just 4 km east of Martin. The first written mention dates back to 1242. In the second half of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, the former land settlements of Svätá Helena, Dolina and Bohúnkovská strana were assigned to the village. In the village there is a one-aisled, early Gothic church with a rectangular ending, a square presbytery, a northern sacristy and a tower from the end of the 13th and the beginning of the 14th century. The church is located in the cemetery and was originally enclosed by a wall. In 1611 the church was rebuilt, also with the contribution of the Révai family, and the nave, the presbytery and the ground floor of the tower were given brick vaults. Between 1581 and 1706 the church served the Protestants. In the 20th century, the roof was repaired and minor modifications were carried out.
