Evangelical church, of the Ausburg confession, in Mošovce

The foundation of the church can be dated back to the years 1864 - 1871, when religious equality in Hungary occurred, which allowed even evangelicals to build a church with a tower. The church is a rectangular neoclassical building with a clock tower topped with a high roof. At the entrance to the church, the visitor can notice an oil painting from the late 19th century by Jan Somor (see photo), dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Jan Kollar's birth. The interior of the church is flanked on three sides by the choir, standing on wooden columns, and the inventory includes an electric organ, chandeliers and an altar with a pulpit. At the back, behind the pulpit, there are 3 arched, painted windows depicting scenes from the Bible. The church was overhauled in the mid-1970s, under the ministry of Pastor Lack.
