The Regional Tourism Organisation in cooperation with the City of Martin is pleased to announce the reopening of the Tourist Information Centre in Martin, which has undergone extensive reconstruction works. Over the last three months, the premises of the Tourist Information Centre on Moskovská 1 have been completely renovated, improving conditions for visitors and staff.

The renovation, which began in May 2024, included upgrading the electrical distribution network, replacing floors, ceilings and walls, installing new sanitary facilities and improving staff facilities. Most attention was paid to the main area of the Tourist Information Centre, where a new information desk was built, the souvenir sales section was redesigned and a new information zone was created. The reconstruction also included a complete renewal of the inventory, which included modern equipment and furnishings, increasing both the comfort of visitors and the efficiency of the services provided. The author of the elaborate design of the reconstruction of the Tourist Information Centre is Ing. Zuzana Lamačková.

"We are very pleased that we, as the Regional Tourism Organisation, have been able to contribute to the transformation of this space and thus support its main function - providing information for visitors. We believe that the new premises will be popular with visitors and will serve not only to provide information, but also to present the cultural organizations of the city of Martin and the region according to the season," said Dalibor Steindl, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the tourism organization Turiec.

The newly opened Tourist Information Centre also offers a space that can be used for exhibitions of the city's cultural organisations or for presenting the region, thus expanding its functionality and contribution to the community.

The grand opening of the renovated premises took place on 8 August 2024, when the new look of the centre was presented to the public. All residents and visitors are cordially invited to come and see the new premises and take advantage of the services offered by the Tourist Information Centre.

The activity was implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
