September 19 @ 8:00 a.m. - November 17 @ 5pm
The Turčianska Gallery cordially invites you to the exhibition Matej Pancurák - Fluiditywhich will guide you through a fascinating world at the intersection of art, philosophy and neuroscience. Within three thematically interconnected rooms, visitors will delve into exploring fundamental questions about the human psyche, the body and their interactions.
Exhibited works:
- Plasticity I and II - moving images working with motifs of neurons and histological units to illustrate the constant processes of change in the brain that take place during learning and adaptation.
- Imagination Landscape - a work inspired by the music of John Cage that creates a dynamic visual landscape where images and time intersect, creating a space for individual interpretation.
- Essence - an interdisciplinary approach that combines neuroaesthetics with the principles of new media to stimulate our imagination and aesthetic perception of beauty.
The exhibition draws on scientific and philosophical ideas such as Hippocratic temperaments and neuroplasticity, and offers a deeper reflection on our understanding of the world and ourselves. It is an experience that resonates long after leaving the gallery.
