You don't have to wait until school starts to learn new skills. You can also spend your summer holidays and the beginning of the school year in a useful way by visiting the Museum of the Slovak Village. We have prepared for you the second year of the educational programme Learn at the museum!, during which you will get acquainted with various works and traditional crafts, which you will also be able to actively try. Educational programme Learn at the museum!, realized with the financial support of the town of Martin, will bring visitors closer to various topics of everyday and working life of our ancestors. A series of educational programmes will take place during five weekend days: 13 July, 3 and 11 August, 29 September and 5 October 2024 from 10.00 to 16.00 at the Museum of the Slovak Village.

At the second meeting on Saturday 3 August 2024 we will initiate you into the secrets of pottery, tinkering, carving, wool felting and basketry. We will show you how they used to preparing leaven or kneading and kneading bread. In addition, you will be able to taste quality homemade pastries from Turčianske bakers and children's visitors will be able to decorate their own gingerbread man.
