Performance dedicated to Elisabeth Günther-Mayer: Even the piano was thrown out of the window...
The Slovak National Museum cordially invites you to a unique interactive performance "They threw the piano out of the window too..."which is dedicated to to Elisabeth Günther-Mayer, one of the most important personalities of Slovak art history.
Alžbeta Güntherová-Mayerová was a courageous and inspiring woman who dedicated her life to the preservation of Slovakia's cultural heritage, despite the personal tragedies and difficulties she faced during the communist regime. Her story returns to the Slovak National Museum in Martin, where she worked, through a performance realized by the Reminiscences project.
The interactive performance features well-known actors Marek and Jana Majeski. Andrej Krajčovič will provide the music and renowned set designer Marija Havran will create the set. After the performance there will be a discussion on the protection of cultural heritage, which will raise important issues in the field of heritage conservation and art history.
