20 years of the Museum of Roma Culture in Slovakia - Exhibition "Hin amen muzeum! / We have a museum!"

The Museum of Roma Culture in Slovakia, part of the Slovak National Museum, celebrates 20 years of its existence! On this occasion, it is opening a new exhibition entitled "Hin amen museum! / We have a museum!", which presents the rich history and activities of this unique museum, which since 2004 has been dedicated to researching, documenting and presenting the cultural heritage of the Roma.

The exhibition offers a unique insight into:

• History of the museum and its predecessor - the Documentation Centre of Roma Culture
• The importance of museum activities in preserving and promoting Roma cultural identity
• Traditional crafts, works of art and objects of everyday life of Roma
• Personalities of Roma culture, the writer Elena Lacková or the musician Ján Berky - Mrenica st.
