Permanent exposition of Jozef Cíger Hronský - Martin
In the premises of the house of Jozef Cíger Hronský in Martin you will find a unique permanent exhibition dedicated to the life and work of this important Slovak writer, artist and cultural organizer. The tour will take you to the authentic environment of his home and provide a comprehensive view of the work of one of the main representatives of Slovak literature of the 20th century.
About Jozef Cíger Hronský
Jozef Cíger Hronský (1896-1960) was a teacher by education, from 1933 he worked as a secretary and later as an administrator of the Slovak Matica. During his tenure he was instrumental in founding the Neografia printing house.
After 1945, he went abroad, where he devoted himself intensively to painting and working in local cultural associations. In 1959 he founded the Foreign Slovak Matrix, which contributed to the maintenance of Slovak traditions abroad.
His extensive literary output significantly influenced the development of Slovak prose . His best known novels include:

Admission price list:
- Adults: 2,00 €
- Students and children: 1,00 €
- Group admission for schools:
over 10 children + chaperone: 8,00 €
over 20 children + chaperone: 16,00 € (capacity up to 35 persons) - Free: children up to 6 years of age, seniors over 62 years of age and holders of disability cards
Length of tour: 60 minutes, including the projection of the video film.
