History of the museum

The Firefighters' Museum was founded on 24 April 2007 by the Priekopa Fire Brigade Civic Association, whose aim was to preserve and make accessible the historical heritage of firefighting in Slovakia. In 2014, in cooperation with the town of Marto, it opened its doors in the premises of the former military warehouses.
