Walkway through the fairytale forest

V Ski resort Jasenská dolina is located the popular nature trail, called Walkway through the fairytale forest. This route runs on both sides of the chairlift and is lined with fairy-tale boards, which introduce children to familiar characters such as Lomidrevo, Janko Hráško a Baby Deer. The walk takes about an hour, with with an elevation of 113 metres and a circle of approximately 3 kilometres.

The circuit goes along the slope, but we recommend to continue up to the end of the cable car and turn left, as if towards the Lysec. After about 20 minutes of walking through rolling meadows you will reach the top of the Interstices. From there you can go down the old ski slope to the Pension Brest. The return leads back to ski resort, while along the way you will find several restaurants a guesthouses with playgrounds and refreshments.

This extended circuit has a length of approximately 5 kilometres s an elevation of more than 200 metres. The total walk with children takes about 2-3 hours.

Chata pod Chlebom is the perfect place for a trip in every season! 🍃❄️ On sunny days you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramas - you will see not only Chleb and the Great Fatranský Kriváň, but also the Western Tatras and Veľký Choč. Directly in front of the chalet you can enjoy a magical view of the ridge of the Low Tatras, Veľká Fatra or Martinské hole. 🏔️

⏱️ Time: approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes

Chata pod Chlebom is an excellent starting point for ski mountaineering tours, which will be enjoyed by beginners and experienced ski mountaineers. The most popular destinations include:
⛷️ Veľký Fatranský Kriváň (1 709 m above sea level)
⛷️ Chleb (1 646 m)

From the ridge you can also go to other beautiful peaks:
🌟 Little Fatranský Kriváň (1 671 m above sea level)
🌟 Poludňový Grúň (1 459 m above sea level)
🌟 Stoh (1 607 m above sea level)

🧑‍🔬 Safety tip: Always check the avalanche danger status and current conditions on the Mountain Rescue Service website before hiking.

✨ Looking for the perfect weekend trip? ✨

Combine spectacular views, fresh air exercise and a gentle challenge! Join us on an adventure through the beautiful nature of Mala Fatra to the Vendovka hut. 🌲🏔️

🗺️ Start of route:
The trip starts in the Sučianska valley, near the Jarolím cottage settlement. From there, a blue hiking trail will take you through the stream and forests until you reach the crossroads of forest roads with a turn-off to Vendovka. Picturesque views, a pleasant climb and the smell of nature await you.

🔹 Cottage Vendovka:
This popular tourist stop offers a short rest area - although it is usually locked, the hallway is often accessible. You'll also find a spring here to refill your water. 🏞️

If you like, you can extend your hike and continue to Malý Kriváň.

📌 Information:
⏳ Duration: the tour takes about 3 hours (one way).
💧 Water and refreshments: don't forget to refill your water at the spring behind the Vendovka hut.
🏠 Accommodation: KST Sučany.
