The exhibition "Body as Body" at the AMFO 2024 amateur photography festival raises important questions about the representation of the human body in art, including photography. Nowadays, the body is seen not only as an aesthetically perfect form, but as a symbol linked to various social and societal structures, technological advances and natural relationships. The representation of the body becomes a tool to express identity, equality and social attitudes.

People are conforming their bodies to conventions or, conversely, rebelling against them, opening up new debates about discrimination, equality and tolerance. The exhibition emphasises that the body is central to how individuals define themselves and understand their role in society.

The exhibition "Body as Body" will be open to the public from 3 October 2024 to 31 March 2025 on the exterior panels on the pedestrian zone in Martin, designed by architects from WOVEN. This unique outdoor installation offers visitors the opportunity to reflect on the role of the body in art and everyday life.
