Clay is an honest material. If she is approached with impatience or arrogance, she will immediately make her displeasure known. Ceramic artist Rastislav Haronik, whose work is presented by the Slovak National Museum in Martin as part of the series Inspirations - from craft to design, knows something about this.

The exhibition presents the ceramic work of the artist and collector Rastislav Haronik, who found his inspiration in traditional folk ceramics. His work is intertwined with the duality of the traditional and the authorial (non-traditional). The non-traditional sets him apart as an artist with his own suggestive perception, and the traditional includes him in the hierarchy of cultural values, which he considers important to preserve in today's globalised environment.
