We have successfully presented the beauty of Turca at tourism fairs

Tourism fairs are specialised events where major players and players in the tourism market present everything they cover and can do to the professional and general public. The Regional Tourism Organisation Turiec regularly participates in tourism fairs because it is a great opportunity to introduce our beautiful region and great opportunities and tips for spending an interesting time in Turci to colleagues from the industry and also to travellers not only from Slovakia.

The 3rd edition of the specialized international tourism fair CARAVAN, BIKE, TRAVEL took place at the national exhibition centre Agrokomplex in Nitra on 22-24 March. As the name implies, this event is especially for a specific group of hikers who are camping enthusiasts. The three-day Feast of Caravanning, Camping, Cycling and Hiking takes place in seven pavilions on an exhibition area of almost 17,000 m2. The organisers of the fair pride themselves on being a bunch of passionate enthusiasts who, together with their partners and exhibitors, share a common goal: the development of caravanning and the promotion of tourism in our country.

Regional Tourism Organization Turiec was not lost among dozens of exhibitors, on the contrary, we welcomed many travelers and camping enthusiasts not only from Slovakia, but also from the Czech Republic and other countries at our booth. All those who visited our stand presenting the beauties of Turca were interested not only in camping tips. Each of the wide range of visitors with their specific travel interests received answers, information and tips on how to spend the best and most interesting time in our beautiful and attractive tourist region.

We took part in the CARAVAN, BIKE, TRAVEL fair in cooperation with the Regional Tourism Organisation of Žilina Region.
"We see this event as a great opportunity to showcase the beauty of our region and to interest all those who are deciding where they should go on their next holiday and how to spend their time of active relaxation in Turci in a meaningful way. We are also planning the construction of caravan parking sites in our region called Stellplatz", said Ing. Dalibor Steindl, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OOCR Turiec.

We were not absent at the event in Zabrze, Poland, on 5-6 April International Travel Trade Fair. From our point of view, this international tourism fair was a successful substitute for the GLOBalnie w Katoviciach exhibition, which did not take place. The 14th edition of the traditional international fair was held at the ARENA ZABRZE stadium in Zabrze, which belongs to the largest and most populous metropolitan area of Poland - the Katowice conurbation. This unique event, not only in the Polish Silesian Voivodeship, but in the whole of Poland, is organised by the City of Zabrze under the auspices of the Polish Chamber of Tourism and the Silesian Tourist Board.

The truly international nature of the event is underlined by the number of countries represented, as well as the diverse range of exhibitors from Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Colombia, France, Ukraine, India, Peru, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and the regions of Wallonia-Brussels and Revereto in Italy. The international fair showcased tourist facilities and attractions classified as industrial heritage - which is the domain of the Silesian Voivodeship and the former mining and industrial town of Zabrze. In addition, the fair also featured presentations of culinary and wine routes, towns, regions, resorts, spa towns and fortifications. Travel agencies and hotels also had the opportunity to present their services and, of course, there were also demonstrations and products of artistic crafts. This fair is not a classic "exhibition and presentation", during both days it offered a rich and varied programme full of competitions, attractions, speciality tastings, musical performances, creative and educational workshops. Conferences, lectures and presentations are also a traditional part of the International Tourism Fair in Zabrze.

The regional tourism organisation Turiec had its stand at this prestigious event directly within the SLOVAKIA TRAVEL exposition, which also won the award for the most interesting exposition at the festival.

"The people who stopped by our booth were most interested in the hiking and biking opportunities in Turci, as well as winter sports opportunities. It is necessary and beneficial for the development of tourism in our beautiful region to participate in events abroad. The border regions of Poland are not too far from Turca and we see a great potential not only for increasing interest in our region, but also for increasing the number of visitors." said Dalibor Steindl.
