Saturday, 30 November 2024, we invite you to the Ethnographic Museum for a unique creative workshopwhere together we will make sure that our museum Christmas trees shine.

🎨 What is waiting for you?

  • Production of traditional Christmas decorations from paper, paper strips, thread and other materials.
  • Room for your creativity - bring your own ideas and add your own special touch!

This workshop is the perfect opportunity to create true Christmas spirit and share the joy of creating with your loved ones.

Looking for a unique experience in nature? Start at the Klyak Waterfall! This 30-metre high natural gem is classified as one of Slovakia's national natural monuments. 🌊🏞️
For nature lovers, this is a place simply worth a visit!

📍 Recommended route:
Start from the village of Vrícko, following the green trail, where the path will lead you to the waterfall and then leads to the Kľak hill. If you decide to continue, after another hour of climbing, you will see beautiful panoramas of the Little Fatra Ridge and the Turčianska Basin. ⛰️✨

Vrícko, bus stop - Bak - Kľacki waterfall - Pod skalou - Kľak
⏱️ Time to go to the waterfall:
approximately 1 hour
⏱️ Time to peak:
approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes

Hiking to Katova skala 🏞️

Go to the Chata pod Kľačianskou Magura, a popular place for tourists in the Turiec region. ⛰️ The chalet, also known as Magura, is easily accessible and offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

🚶‍♂️ Route: From Turčianske Kľačany along the green trail it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to the cottage. It is an easy and pleasant hike, which even less experienced hikers will enjoy.

🥾 💚 From the cottage you can make an extended trip to the top of Suchý, which is about 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes walk away. The path is again well marked with green hiking signs and you will be rewarded with more breathtaking views.

🏞️ Bring a good mood, a thermos of tea and enjoy the autumn nature! 🍂 Don't forget to check the weather and dress according to the current conditions.

The ferrata leads through the canyon of the Brewery Creek, which provides pleasant refreshment along the entire route. 🌊 This one-way section branches into two difficulty options (B and C) at the top and takes you over steep cliffs, magnificent waterfalls - including a 30-metre giant - and resting spots with enchanting views. 🏞️
