Trip plan:
09:00 – 10:00 Ascent to mountain gap Žaškovské sedlo
From the train station in Stankovany, we follow the yellow hiking trail up the Škutová Valley and trek up to mountain gap Žaškovské sedlo. From there, you can enjoy the southern view of Kopa.
10:00 – 11:30 Ascent to Šíp
Šíp (1,169.5 m above the sea level), is a massive rocky hill towering above the confluence of the Váh and the Orava in the Veľká Fatra mountains, in district Ružomberok.  Located in the eponymous national nature reserve, the Šíp also denotes a geomorphological subunit of Šípska Fatra.
11:30 – 12:30 Descent to the village of Podšíp
The path to Podšíp leads through the back summit of the Šíp.  The distinctive symbol of the back summit of the Šíp is a wooden cross. The Podšíp settlement consists of several wooden houses, which currently serve as a place of rest.
12:30 – 13:30 Return to Stankovany
One alternative is to use an unmarked trail from the village of Podšíp, which takes us along the Váh to Stankovany.  The second option is to return by the same route.
